The official opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2026, at 09:00 AM (EAT) at the AU Conference Center. All delegates are requested to be seated by 08:45 AM. The ceremony will feature addresses from AU leadership and host country officials.
All participants must present valid accreditation badges at all entry points. Security screening will be conducted at all venues. Please arrive early to allow sufficient time for security procedures. Lost badges should be reported immediately to the Registration Desk.
Plenary sessions will be held daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Topics include: Continental Free Trade Area implementation, Peace and Security updates, Climate Action initiatives, and Digital Transformation strategies. Check your agenda for detailed session information.
Over 30 side events and exhibitions will showcase Africa's innovations in education, technology, agriculture, and sustainable development. Visit the Exhibition Hall (Building C) from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily. Featured exhibitions include AU Digital Transformation Strategy, African CDC Health Initiatives, and Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase.
Join fellow delegates and dignitaries for the official networking reception at the AU Garden Terrace. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with leaders from across the continent. Dress code: Business formal. RSVP required.
The AU Youth Forum will convene on February 16-17 to discuss youth participation in governance, education access, and employment opportunities. Young leaders from all 55 member states will present recommendations to the Assembly. Open to all delegates - Room 5, Building B.
Complimentary shuttle services operate between official hotels and the AU Conference Center every 15 minutes from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Shuttle pickup points are clearly marked at all designated hotels. For special transport requests, contact the Transport Desk at +251-11-XXX-XXXX.
Medical facilities are available on-site at the AU Health Center (Ground Floor, Building A). Emergency medical personnel are on standby throughout the summit. Hand sanitizing stations are located at all entrances. For medical emergencies, dial extension 911 from any conference phone.
Accredited media representatives can access the Media Center (Building D) for press briefings, interviews, and live coverage facilities. Daily press briefings will be held at 1:30 PM. Media accreditation badges must be worn at all times in restricted areas.

The Summit will conclude with a closing ceremony on Monday, February 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The ceremony will feature the adoption of declarations, resolutions, and the handover to the next AU Chairperson. All delegates are encouraged to attend.
